Now this is quite something, finally a journal where I'm not posting about going on holiday   Went away 6 times in one year...that's insane!  7 if I include going away briefly for New Years o.O

Moving up..
In other news, I've moved up from living in a shared house with friends, to renting my own house.  Was quite a big jump for me because the previous house was fully furnished, this step required I buy everything of my own.  This also means I won't be affording any holidays this year   Been here nearly 7 months now, things are going well

New line of work
In addition to my current work, I'm now installing & maintaining wireless hotspots for various hotels, guest houses and restaurants.  There are certain big franchises I cover exclusively in JHB & PTA

Ranting
New Telkom line - nearly R2000 bill for R63 in calls!
I already had my own line here before I moved in (used to work from this house, prevoiusly owned by a friend/colleague), but cancelled temporarily.  They say it will take 1-2 weeks to reactivate my old number.  After 6 weeks of hearing nothing, they suddenly explain a R700 deposit I have to pay.  Then they install the wrong number, and the line goes down for over 2 weeks.  They charged me for a full new installation, a fee to "change my number" and line rental for 2 months.  In total I've made R63.06 in calls, and my first Telkom bill comes to R1730.78 excluding ADSL!!!
